Executive Chef, Matt Smith, and General Manager Kylie Smith today proudly accepted awards in three categories of the Tourism and Events Queensland Beef 2015 Restaurant Awards.
Most significantly, The Waterline Restaurant backed up their success in Beef 2012 by again winning the Best Beef Signature Dish award.
“we entered our signature miso cured Banana Station grass fed MSA beef tataki, black garlic, crispy leek, soy pearls, and smoky ponzu because it is a dish that is all about the beef” says Matt. ”the accompaniments are designed to enhance the inherent flavour of the grass fed beef, and it is served rare, which is the best way to appreciate good beef.”
Feedback from the judges was great to hear, they loved the flavour, and the presentation and that is is a unique way to present beef on a menu.
In addition to this major award, The Waterline also won awards in the categories of Best Steak and Best Burger, effectively scooping the pool in the Restaurant Awards.
