The Waterline Restaurant is an extension of the culinary team’s desire and commitment to providing modern, delicious and nourishing cuisine of both high standards and exceptional quality. Ingredients are personally selected and anything less than the best is disregarded.
From humble beginnings, opening as Waterline Café, a coffee and sandwich bar in the corner of the new Keppel Bay Marina building in 1996, The Waterline Restaurant as it is known today has forged a reputation for the best quality food and friendliest service on the coast.
It has taken three kitchen renovations, to grow the business to what it is today. The most recent in 2005 when Executive Chef Matt Smith joined the team and introduced evening dining, taking The Waterline Restaurant to the next level.
“Banana Station” Beef is produced on the Wilson Family’s group of beef cattle properties located in Central Queensland.
Produced primarily for the premium export market, award winning Banana Station Beef is only available at The Waterline.

The food is a harmony of all the finest ingredients found locally and around the world. Seasonal produce is obtained from local fruit, vegetable and seafood markets and the beef is produced on our family cattle properties. These authentic, highly refined and fresh ingredients are combined in a manner that will indulge and nourish the palate while satisfying the senses.
The menus have been prepared with a blend of traditional and avant-garde techniques, and a seamless marriage of Asian and Australian flavour.
We also have an exceptional range of hand selected craft beers and boutique wines to compliment your meal.
The team at The Waterline is committed to sourcing the best local produce available wherever possible. Developing relationships with local producers and distributors to ensure we have access to the best and freshest produce all year round.
The Waterline Restaurant has special arrangements for dining with pets. In consultation with the local Council, we have special arrangements in place to enable guests to dine with their furry friends, without impacting on the experience of other diners.
